How we make money

Plug-In Solar Guide participates in affiliate programs run by solar equipment makers and retailers. When you click a link marked as an affiliate link and buy something, we may receive a commission. You pay the same price either way.

This is a material connection under the US Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides, and we disclose it on every page that contains such links, close to the links themselves.

What it does not change

• Which kits appear in our comparison tables. Every kit we can verify is listed, whether or not it pays us.
• Our state law pages, which carry no product links.
• Our opinions. If a kit is uncertified or overpriced, we say so.

Sponsorships

If a company pays for placement, the content is labeled "Sponsored." We do not publish paid reviews.
